Women’s Day: PM Modi will give social media accounts to women | India News

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Tuesday that to commemorate the next Women’s Day on March 8, he will be “giving away” his social media accounts to women whose life and work inspire us.

The decision came a day after he tweeted his desire to give up his social media accounts.

The Prime Minister also urged the online community to share inspiring stories of women, under the hashtag “#SheInspireUs”, which can then be part of this campaign. Selected entries will have the opportunity to “take over” the PM Modi Twitter account.

“This Women’s Day, I will give away my social media accounts to women whose life and work inspire us. This will help ignite the motivation in millions. Are you such a woman or do you know such inspiring women? Share those stories using #SheInspiresUs “he tweeted.

His tweet stops all speculation after its publication on Monday that he was thinking of abandoning his social media accounts.

On Monday, the prime minister had tweeted that he is thinking of giving up his social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
