For the first time, the awards ceremony was broadcast simultaneously on Facebook and television. And there was more: people from all over the world also got highlights of the red carpet, behind-the-scenes images and special moments, all exclusively on Facebook and Instagram.

The spectators practically joined the presenters, nominees and the stars for an unforgettable experience on the official Filmfare website. Things got even more exciting when popular creators like Teen Tigada (Sameeksha, Vishal, Bhavin) and Kritika and Deeksha Khurana (The Khurana Sisters), set fire to the red carpet with their fun video with Bollywood stars, earning more than 10 Millions of visits in the first 24 hours, while fans everywhere generated more than 240,000 interactions worldwide. With 17 million visits and still counting for the awards ceremony recently held, Filmfare fever continues on Facebook and Instagram.

“Movies are a cultural phenomenon in India and they unite us. No wonder some of the vibrant communities and conversations on Facebook and Instagram are related to movies! Our partnership with Filmfare is really exciting, as it gives us the opportunity to bring really fun and exclusive videos and photos for people on our platforms, “said Manish Chopra, director and head of associations, Facebook India.

Speaking about WWM and the strategic partnership of Facebook, Deepak Lamba, CEO of Worldwide Media, said: “While the Filmfare Awards have always maintained their leadership in the market in terms of mass reach through TV, digital and broad coverage of the TOI group, this was for the first time that we connected with our audience in a way never before. Facebook helped us build a large community of Bollywood fans that would not only get involved with the content, but also with each other at a similar level of interest. ”

There is more to follow in this year. The glitz and glamor, #FilmfareOnFB, will continue to attract moviegoers, as they will be able to relive iconic moments of Filmfare from previous years in the official group “All Things Filmfare”.

In addition, in the future, there will be a magic of Filmfare throughout the year with the next editions of the Filmfare Awards in South, Marathi, Punjabi, East and the Filmfare Glamor & Style Awards.
