MasterChef India 6: Abinas Nayak emerges as winner; takes 25 lakh home

The sixth season of MasterChef India finally won its winner in chef Abinas Nayak. The cooking reality show is one of the most prestigious in India and produces the best chefs in the middle of several homemade chefs. Abinas Nayak of Odisha was declared the winner and he lifted the trophy along with a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh.

The series was short with 20 episodes. Akanksha Khatri, Oindrila Bala, Abinas and Smrutisree Singh were the four finalists. But after competing together, only Abinas and Oindrila went ahead for Sunday’s final race. While Abinas won the MasterChef title, Oindrila emerged as the first finalist of the show. Abinas (27) comes from Odisha and is a technology analyst by profession, while Oindrila Bala is a tax advisor to Kolkata.

MasterChef judge Vikas Khanna, who was one of the three judges of the program, shared this news on his Instagram account. Vikas judged the season with fellow chefs Ranveer Brar and Vineet Bhatia.

He captioned the image as: “MasterChef India Winner 6. Jai Ho !!! @abimilano (sic)”

Season 6 of MasterChef India was launched this time after a three-year gap. The final episode aired on Sunday, March 1, 2020.
