NEW DELHI: Congress criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday for his tweet that he was thinking of giving up social media with Rahul Gandhi saying “give up hate, not social media accounts.”

The excavation of the leader of Congress came after Prime Minister Modi sent his tweet to the social network.

“This Sunday, thinking about giving up my social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube. I’ll keep you posted,” Modi tweeted.

Tagging Modi’s tweet, Gandhi wrote on Twitter: “Stop hate, not social media accounts.”

The main spokesman for Congress, Randeep Surjewala, tweeted: “Respected Modi ji, I sincerely wish you to give this advice to the concerted army of trolls, who abuse, intimidate, weave, threaten others every second in their name. Sincere greetings, citizens of India. ”
