‘Malang’ actor Kunal Kemmu: I feel underused as an actor | Hindi Movie News

Despite leaving a mark with varied roles in films such as ‘Kalyug’, ‘Traffic Signal’, ‘Go Goa Gone’ and now ‘Malang’, actor Kunal Kemmu said he mostly receives offers to play comic roles thanks to his roles in the ‘Golmaal’ Series. The actor said he has much more to offer as an interpreter.

“I cannot say that I am underestimated, but I am underused as an actor. I know that I am able to do as much as an interpreter. I have a lot to offer. I have more potential than the public has seen in the movies that I have done so far. Or maybe my Fans who like my work think I’m versatile as an actor. But that’s not how filmmakers and casting directors see me, “Kunal said.

The actor recently demonstrated his versatility in Mohit Suri’s ‘Malang’. In the movie, he played a cold-blooded psycho cop who deceptively pretends to be a gentleman in public. While the multistarrer also featured Aditya Roy Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Disha Patani in praised and important roles, it was Kunal’s representation of a complex character that became an important topic of conversation.

“One of my friends, who is also a filmmaker, told me that his reference to my work was ‘Golmaal’. Then, he tends to think I’m good at comedy. He added that my comic moment was good. Then he mentioned that he surprised me see me on ‘Malang’. I think a lot of people have the impression that I can only be good at comedy. I really have a lot to offer if they throw me! “Kunal said.
