Violence in Delhi: Government criticizes the US body. UU. And ICO for “misleading” comments | India News

“We have seen comments made by USCIRF, sections of the media and some people regarding recent incidents of violence in Delhi. These are in fact inaccurate and misleading, and seem to be destined to politicize the issue, “said MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar.
“Our law enforcement agencies are working in the field to prevent violence and ensure the restoration of trust and normalcy. Senior government representatives have been involved in that process. The prime minister has publicly called for peace and brotherhood. We urge that no irresponsible comments be made at this delicate time, “he added.
Later, at a press conference, the official asked the ICO not to make inaccurate and irresponsible comments. “The statements that have come out of ICOs are in fact inaccurate, are selective, are misleading. There is an effort on the ground to restore normalcy, to build trust, “said Kumar.
The ICO also made insensitive comments in the past and tried to comment on the internal affairs of India, he added.
The OCI had said in its statement that “it condemns the recent and alarming violence against Muslims in India, resulting in the death and injury of innocent people and the arson and vandalism of mosques and Muslim property.”
