Indian Idol 11 winner: Sunny Hindustani from Punjab lifts the trophy

After more than three months of non-stop entertainment and spectacular songs, Indian Idol 11 has finally come to an end. The show found its winner in the Sunny Hindustani of Bhatinda (Punjab). The young man pocketed the Indian Idol 11 trophy and a cash prize of Rs 25 lakhs. He also had the opportunity to sing in the next project of the T series.

Sunny faced four finalists, Ankona Mukherjee, Adriz Ghosh, Ridham Kalyan and Rohit Raut. Sunny, who hypnotized everyone with her moving song and sang a mix of songs like Bhar Do Jholi Meri, Halka Halka Suroor won praise from Ayushmann Khurrana and Neena Gupta, who were the special guests on the final night. Ankona Mukherjee emerged as the second finalist and received a cash prize of Rs 5 lakhs. Ridham and Adriz fourth and fifth respectively and obtained Rs 3 lakhs each.

Sunny has been one of the most discussed contestants since entering the audition round. His voice is very similar to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and at the time he arrived for the auditions, he left the three judges Vishal Dadlani, Neha Kakkar and Anu Malik (who had to resign due to the accusations of Me Too). It became an instant success and everyone’s favorite since the audition. It is also called Roo (soul) of Nusrat Sahib. In one of the episodes, actor Kunal Kemmu was so impressed by Sunny’s singing that he gave him Lord Lakshmi’s locket. Not only Kunal, even Ajay Devgn and his wife Kajol were impressed with Sunny’s song and had praised him.

The final night also had performances by Krushna Abhishek and Bharti Singh.

This season has been in the news because of Neha Kakkar and the wedding trick of host Aditya Narayan.
