Prashant Kishor launches the ‘Baat Bihar Ki’ campaign and aims at Nitish Kumar | India News

NEW DELHI: Survey strategist Prashant Kishor launched the ‘Baat Bihar Ki’ campaign on Tuesday and said he would work to make Bihar one of the top 10 states in the country.
Addressing Nitish Kumar, Kishor said that the ideological positioning of the JD (U) was the main cause of conflict with the prime minister and that the campaign, as of February 20, will be extended to people who believe a new one is needed leadership in Bihar
At a press conference, he said his relationship with Nitish Kumar has not been purely political. “Nitish ji treated me like a son. I have immense respect for him. I will not question his decision. It was his prerogative to stay inside or outside the party,” he added.
In saying that their differences did not begin just a month ago, the political strategist added that the JD (U) was not taking a clear stance on the ideology of Gandhi and Godse. “For me, Gandhi ji and Godse can’t go together.”
Kishor said the other point of discussion was JD (U) ‘s decision to align with the BJP. “The position of Nitish Kumar with respect to the BJP changed over time. Bihar needs a strong leader.”
“We also differ in citizenship law,” he said.
“The development took place in Bihar. But the pace of development was not fast enough to transform the state. Did Bihar obtain a special status? Nitish Kumar urged the Center to grant a central status to Patna University, but it did not happen “. He said while digging in the BJP.
The Nitish government could not provide a good education in Bihar, it could not provide electricity domestically, he said. “In several parameters, Bihar is far behind all other states. Bihar was the poorest state in 2005 and still is. There is no one to question the governance model of Nitish Kumar,” said Kishor.
The Kishor I-PAC political advocacy group handled the Narendra Modi Prime Minister’s campaign in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and the main candidate for the Nitish Kumar ministry in Bihar in 2015. Later, I-PAC worked for the Congress in the elections to the assembly of Uttar Pradesh. He also worked for Jagan Mohan Reddy in Andhra Pradesh, Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi and Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal.
Before I-PAC began working with the Reddy YSR Congress, Kishor was included in JD (U) in September 2018 and was appointed national vice president of the party a month later.
Although the national president of JD (U) Nitish had called Kishor “future of politics,” things got to the point between the two in just over a year that the latter was removed from JD (U) on January 29 on charges of crossing the party lines making statements against Nitish.
