An American academic criticizes Kejriwal for misrepresenting his article on the mohalla clinics of Delhi | India News


NEW DELHI: An American academic, Vivek Wadhwa, accused the Prime Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, of misrepresenting his article in the Washington Post about mohalla clinics and also of deceiving him with false claims made by the minister of health of the government of Delhi Satyendra Jain.

“I am disgusted with the dishonesty of the announcements of the Prime Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal. Misrepresent my Washington Post article on Health Cube360 and make false claims about the Mohalla / Peoples clinics,” Wadhwa tweeted while tagging an AAP video cheering the Success of AAP mohalla clinics in Delhi.


In 2016, Wadhwa had written an article in the US-based Washington Post. UU. In 2016, praising the overwhelming success of AAP’s mohalla clinics in the national capital. On Friday, Wadhwa alleged that he was tricked by the Delhi government health minister, Satyendra Jain.

“Your health minister lied to me clearly,” he added in the same tweet. In the tweet, Wadhwa tagged a link from a 2017 news report alleging a scam at the Mohalla clinic to corroborate his accusations. The report claimed that clinics are treating two patients per minute. The report also claimed that clinic doctors are making false patient entries, and doctors are cheating patients by prescribing useless medications.

Wadhwa criticized AAP for using his article for political gains.

“It’s weird that I comment on politics, especially about India. But this was so exaggerated that it made me sick.”
