NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a mockery Thursday at Rahul Gandhi’s “danda” comment, saying that since the comment of the leader of Congress, the frequency of doing ‘Surya Namaskar’ to deal with the assault has increased

“I heard an opposition parliamentarian say: young people will beat Modi with sticks in six months. I have also decided that they will do more Surya Namaskar. This will make my back even stronger to face abuse. In any case, I have been abused. so much over the past 2 decades that I’ve become
gaali proof. His negativity hardly matters, “Prime Minister Modi said as he spoke during the ongoing discussion about the motion of thanks to the president’s speech at Lok Sabha.

The leader of the Congress, Rahul Gandhi, stood up and tried to interpose as soon as Modi finished this part of his speech, however, what he said could not be heard due to the uproar in Parliament.

“I was talking for 30-40 minutes, but the current has come there now,” Prime Minister Modi joked as he pointed to the congressional leader to sit down.

“Some tubular lights work like this,” he added. Subsequently, the Prime Minister continued to talk about skills development, digital economy, CAA and other issues.

The prime minister’s response came a day after Rahul warned that the youth of this country “will hit the prime minister with sticks” for their inability to create jobs in the country.

“The prime minister will not be able to leave his house. The youth of this country will hit him with sticks and make him understand that this country cannot progress without providing him with work,” Rahul had said. Wednesday during a rally in Delhi.
