Kerala Niyamasabha: Governor Arif Mohammad Khan heckled by Opposition in Assembly | Thiruvananthapuram News


THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In an unprecedented move, the Congress-led Opposition members blocked the entry of governor Arif Mohammad Khan inside the Assembly. The members were later forcibly removed by the security guards.
The governor had come to address the budget session of the state assembly which began here on Wednesday.

The opposition members shouted slogans against governor for insulting the Assembly which passed a unanimous resolution against CAA.
Amidst shouting slogans by the Opposition members the governor began his address in the House.
The Opposition members later staged a walk out boycotting the address made by the governor.
Opposition leader Rameah Chennithala had moved a notice demanding the Speaker to pass a resolution seeking the recall of the governor by the President of India. The opposition had come out in open against the governor ever since he criticised the state Assembly for passing the resolution against the CAA.
