Deepika Padukone finally reacts on ‘Chhappak’ getting a low rating on IMDb after her JNU visit | Hindi Movie News

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone was recently seen promoting her film ‘Chhapaak’ in every way possible. Despite that, the film has failed to impress the audience and perform well at the box office. She even visited the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and showed solidarity with the students there.

Soon after her visit, the IMDb rating of her film ‘Chhapaak’ faced the wrath as people started downvoting the film in large numbers.

Now in a video shared by a fan club of Deepika on Twitter, she is seen giving back to the trolls. She can be heard saying that they have changed the IMDb rating and not her mind. Check out the video below:

Currently, the film stands at a rating of 4.6 stars after the dislikes from different accounts. Even after the film and portrayal as an acid attack survivor received an outstanding response from the critics, it failed to mark its presence at the box office. After her visit, netizens also started trending #BoycottChhapaak which badly affected the film’s collections.

Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film showcases the story of Malti, an acid attack survivor and her battles. The film was inspired by the real-life events of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. It also starred Vikrant Massey in a pivotal role.
