Prashant Kishor: ‘What a fall for you to lie’: Prashant Kishor hits back at Nitish Kumar | India News

NEW DELHI: The rift between JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar and political strategist Prashant Kishor was out in the open on Tuesday. Hours after Nitish claimed that Kishor was inducted into JD(U) on the recommendation of Union home minister Amit Shah, the latter slammed the Bihar chief minister for “lying” about how and why he was made to join the party.
“@NitishKumar what a fall for you to lie about how and why you made me join JDU!!!! Poor attempt on your part to try and make my colour same as yours!” Kishor tweeted.
Taking a dig at Nitish’s own comments, Kishor said that even if the JD(U) chief was telling the truth, no one would believe that he has the courage not to listen to someone “recommended” by Amit Shah.

Kishor has been publicly objecting to the JD(U) supporting the contentious Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), which has been dubbed by many legal experts and lawmakers as “unconstitutional”.
Earlier, while responding to a media query on Kishor, Nitish had said: “Someone (a reference to party leader Pavan Varma) wrote a letter and I replied to it. Someone is tweeting, let him tweet. What do I have to do with it? One can stay in the party as long as he/she wants. They can go if they want to.”
He added that Kishor had joined the party after Amit Shah recommended his name.
Kishor has more than once made his differences with the party known on the issue of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). The JD(U) supported the legislation in both Houses of Parliament.
