Murli Manohar Joshi seeks overthrow of overthrowin of JNU VC News – India
“The reports are that the Ministry of HRD had twice advised the UNJ Vc to implement some solution of certain reasonable and working formulas to resolve the issue of improved rates in the UNJ. He was also advised to communicate with teachers and students.
“It is shocking that the VC is adamant in not implementing the government’s proposal. This attitude is deplorable and, in my opinion, a VC of this type should not be allowed to continue in this post,” Joshi tweeted.

Joshi’s comments add to the growing clamour for Kumar’s elimination.
Hundreds of demonstrators, including students and members of civil society organizations, take to the streets on Thursday protesting the recent violence at the JNU and demanding the resignation of the city’s vice-chancellor.
The DHD ministry, however, dismissed his removal by saying that firing him is not the solution, but addressing the central problems on campus.
HRD ministry officials Wednesday “advised” jNU vice chancellor to increase communication with students, take the faculty in confidence and facilitate the half-match edentized registration process, days after violence was challenged on the college campus.
Kumar, who has been severely criticized by students and faculty members for not taking immediate action when they were brutally attacked on campus by a masked mob, told officials that efforts were being made to facilitate seme-separated registration for “willing” students.
