Mumbai protest: It won’t tolerate if anyone talks about India’s freedom of Kashmir, says Shiv Sena News – Mumbai

MUMBAI: Shiv Seine leader Sanjay Raut said Tuesday that if someone talks about “freedom from Indian Kashmir,” then it won’t be tolerated.

Asked about the ‘Free Kashmir’ sign seen at the India Gate during a protest against JNU violence, Raut said: “If anyone talks about The freedom of Kashmir from India, then it will not be tolerated.”

However, he clarified that the flag of “Free Kashmir” seen during the protest was against restrictions on Internet services, mobile services and other issues in the Valley.

“I read in a newspaper that those who had the banner ‘Free Kashmir’ clarified that they want to be free of restrictions on Internet services, mobile services and other issues,” Raut said.

Sangramsingh Nishandar, Deputy Police Commissioner (Zone 1), said that serious knowledge had been taken regarding the “Free Kashmir” sign seen at the protest.

“We have become well aware of the ‘Free Kashmir’ sign seen at last night’s protest in Gateway of India. Yes, we’re definitely looking into it,” the DCP told ANI.

On Monday, during the protest, a girl was seen holding the sign that read: “Free Kashmir”. The protesters were spotted with several other posters in objectionable and abusive languages.

Some posters called for ‘Ban on ABVP’, while others said, “Stand with JNU.”
