Kejriwal’s time took hold, Delhi polls will fight over performance and not lies: Prakash Javadekar News – India

NEW DELHI: Delhi assembly elections will be fought on the basis of action and “not just a hollow talk and certainly not lies,” EU Minister Prakash Javadekar said Monday as he launched a new attack on Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

The BJP leader was answering a question about a Kejriwal line tweet in Hindi, after the assembly’s ballot box schedule was announced by the Electoral Commission, in which he said that “this election will be fought at work.”

“Kejriwal’s time has taken hold and a new beginning is taking place in Delhi. He’s failed and people are with us. We are confident of BJP’s victory,” Javadekar told reporters, adding that Delhi needs a triple engine for development with BJP’s ruling at the Center, in civic bodies and also in the city.

Asked who will be the BJP’s leading ministerial candidate, Javadekar, in charge of the party’s unity in Delhi for the Assembly elections, said it was not a problem. “It will be Kejriwal against the people, ” he retorted.

Welcoming the announcement of the survey, Javadekar told reporters: “The people of Delhi were waiting for the opportunity to replace the government with lies and bring in the one that works.”

Out of power in Delhi for more than two decades, the BJP is trying to organize a return to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popularity and the work done by his government in Delhi.

Voting in the 70th Assembly constituencies in Delhi will be held on 8 February. The counting of votes will take place on 11 February.

Flanked by Delhi President BJP Manoj Tiwari, Javadekar targeted supreme SPG Kejriwal, saying his “lies” were exposed and people have seen his “real face.”

Tiwari said assembly elections were a struggle between “development-oriented nationalism” and “anarchy,” claiming that the AAP that had come to power in 2015 “failed” on all fronts.

“We are pleased that the results of the polls are announced in ‘mangal’ (Tuesday). The BJP is here for people’s ‘mangal’ and we are committed to providing solutions to the various problems facing Delhi,” Tiwari said.

The BJP has begun preparations for crucial surveys. In addition, the electoral committee has formed up to 35 other panels.

The party is already in campaign mode in unauthorized colonies and slums, installing Modi hoardings and raising awareness of the central government’s plans.

The BJP hopes to obtain from schemes such as the granting of property in 1,731 unauthorized colonies, claiming the transfer benefits 40 Lakh people, and “Jahan Jhuggi, Wahan Makan” for the redevelopment of slums.

BJP President Amit Shah addressed a meeting of more than 13,000 booth-level party workers on Sunday, stating that the party under Narendra Modi’s leadership will form a government in Delhi.

The BJP will lead to small meetings in the “Mohalla Sabha” campaign, with Shah saying that he himself will launch himself and participate in some of them.

Delhi BJP is also carrying out the “Meri Dilli, Mera Sujhav” campaign to get feedback from people to draft their manifesto for Assembly polls.

The BJP suffered a humiliating defeat in 2015, winning only three seats. The AAP won 67 Assembly seats to form a government in Delhi.

Since 2015, the BJP has been able to recover lost ground in Delhi, registering victories in three municipal corporations and by survey according to the assembly seat of Rajouri Garden.

In Lok Sabha’s polls last year, BJP candidates won the seven parliamentary seats in Delhi. The party raised its voting share to a staggering 56 percent compared to 22.37 percent in Congress and 18.26 percent of the SPG.
