A minister has resigned, Maharashtra govt will fall under his own weight: Nitin Gadkari News – India
Speaking to the journalists here, the BJP leader also claimed that one of the ministers of the ministry led by Uddhav Thackeray had resigned, but did not specify who this minister was.
There have been reports in the last two days of three-part discontent about the allocation of portfolios and rumors about some resignations.
“This alliance is not natural. Just today, a minister has resigned. This government will collapse under its own weight. There is no ideological similarity between the Seine and Congress-PNC,” he said.
Citing one example, Gadkari said that the patriarch of Seine defial Bal Thackeray wanted to expel illegal Bangladeshi migrants from Mumbai, while the current government opposes it.
Apparently he was referring to the statements of the Anti-Citizenship Amendment Act from some sectors of the ruling coalition.
The Seine had abandoned the cause of Hindutva and “Marathi manoos” for power, and this was accumulating widespread anger against the party, he said.
The Nagpur parliamentarian, as part of the BJP’s campaign in support of the CAA, visited several houses, including Muslim households, here on Sunday.
