Top 15 Bollywood grossers of 2014

Mumbai, Dec 25 (TruthDive): In the year 2014, nine Bollywood movies have entered the 100 crore club in which only two have managed to enter the 200 crore mark.

Aamir Khan’s ‘PK’ is not considered in the list as the movie is still running. PK was released on December 19 and the movie entered the 100 crore club in four days. It is likely to enter the 200 crore club before the year ends.

Here are the top 15 grossers of the year 2014:

Salman Khan’s ‘Kick’, released for Eid festival on July 25, is the highest earning film of 2014. Debutant director Sajid Nadiadwala has struck gold in his very first attempt at direction. The movie made a lifetime business of Rs. 231.85 crore.

Happy New Year

Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’, released for Diwali on Oct 24, is the second highest earning film of 2014. It made history by collecting Rs. 44.97 crore on the opening day. The movie entered the 100 crore club on its third day of release. It made a lifetime business of Rs. 202 crore.

Bang Bang

Hrithik Roshan’s much expected movie ‘Bang Bang’ was released on October 2. The lifetime business of Bang Bang is Rs. 181.03 crore and it is the third highest earning film.

Singham Returns

The Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor starrer ‘Singham Returns’ was released on August 15 and is the fourth highest earner of the year after collecting Rs. 140.62 crore.

Jai Ho

Salman Khna’s Jai Ho did not do up to the expectations. Released focusing on Republic day holiday weekend on January 24, the movie made a lifetime collection of Rs. 116 crore.

Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty

Akshay Kumar’s ‘Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’ made Rs. 112.45 crore net at the Indian box office.

Ek Villain

Ek Villain, directed by Mohit Suri starred actors Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh. The movie made Rs. 105. 62 crore net.

2 States

2 States, first film of Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor, made Rs. 102.13 crore.


Arjun Kapoor,Ranveer Singh and Priyanlka Chopra starrer Gunday made Rs. 78.60 crore.

Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania

Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ made a decent Rs. 76.81 crore.


Director Vikas Bahl’s Queen did a good business and collected Rs. 61 crore.

Mary Kom

Priyanka Chopra’s ‘Mary Kom’ made a collection of Rs. 56.50 crore.


Vishal Bhardwaj’s Haider starring Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor made Rs. 56.09 crore.


Tiger Shroff’s debut movie ‘Heropanti’ raked in Rs. 52.92 crore.

Main Tera Hero

Varun Dhawan, Ileana D’Cruz and Nargis Fakhri starrer Main Tera Hero minted Rs. 50.60 crores.
