Protest over SSC CGL Tier 2 exam 2013 results

New Delhi, Nov 7 (TruthDive): Upset over the result of SSC CGL Tier 2 exam 2013, candidates from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are protesting and questioning the perfection of Staff Selection Commission. Students made a demand to recheck and republish the results for Tier 2 exam.

Opposing the outcome of Tier 2 exam, candidates particularly from UP and Bihar have blamed the Commission for their unprofessional conduct of examination. Directors of SSC Coaching Institutes are also backing the protesting candidates and have promised to lend a helping hand.

In competitive examinations, candidates from UP and Bihar have been dominating, said the students. But this year there is a tremendous drop of selection in SSC exam, claimed the students. A total of 8600 candidates have been selected for Interview and 20,000 candidates for Non Interview Posts by the SSC.

The students said that qualifying percentage of candidates from Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan is 75% this year, which cannot be possible as the performance of students from these states have been terribly poor in the recent past. As Cut Off for CGL Tier 2 exam is very high, students claim that without leaking of question paper or exploitation in results, it would be impossible.

Meanwhile responding to the issue, SSC Chairman said that the Commission has been following the highest standard of honesty in the conduct of examination and evaluation, thereby leaving absolutely no chance for malpractice and partiality.

Candidates shortlisted for interview/skill tests are purely on merit basis, said the Chairman. He further added that out of the candidates shortlisted in the northern region, 797 candidates belong to UP and Bihar alone when compared to other States. The Chairman also suggested the candidates to have faith in the integrity, fairness and neutrality of various examinations conducted by the Commission.
