Box office collection : Bang Bang enters 100 crore club

Mumbai, Oct 9 (): It has become a great moment of celebration for the whole team of Bang Bang as the movie entered the most prestigious 100 crore club at the Indian box office on Monday afternoon. Bang Bang is the 5th fastest film to enter 100 crore club.

And the Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif-starrer has also crossed the 200 crore mark in the international markets. Bang Bang minted Rs.156.41 crore in India. The movie has raked in Rs.45.10 crore in the international markets. With the continuous tremendous run at the box office, ‘Bang Bang’ has crossed the 200 crore figure in just five days.

The movie raked in 15.36 crore (21.94 crore gross) on Monday, taking the total Indian box office collections to 109.49 crore nett (156.41 crore gross). In the overseas circuits too, the movie is showing a strong run across all territories and the action thriller movie collected a whooping sum of Rs 45.10 crore. The total collection of ‘Bang Bang’ is now at 201.51 crore gross.

Produced by Fox Star Studios, Bang Bang is directed by Siddharth Anand. The much expected action thriller is the remake movie of the official Bollywood remake of Hollywood film Knight And Day. Made at a budget of Rs.140 crore, the movie was released on Oct 2. Along with Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif, the movie also stars Jaaved Jaaferi, Danny Denzongpa, Deepti Naval, Jimmy Sheirgill and Kanwaljit Singh.

Bang Bang also had a tough competition; it was released opposite a big film ‘Haider’ starring Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. In spite of such tough competitions from the latter’s film, Siddharth Anand’s movie has managed to enter the Rs 100 crore club.

Katrina and Hrithik are excited about the success of the film. They said they were very happy to see the amazing response of the audience for their movie Bang Bang. Also they thanked the audience for accepting the film in a huge manner.
