Mumbai, Oct 6 (): The box office collection of Hrithik Roshan-Katrina Kaif starrer Bang Bang has collected Rs 94.13 cr nett in India while the gross figure has gone to Rs 134.47 cr within four days of its release.
The news has been confirmed by Fox. Its twitter account posted, “#BangBangMovie update : Collects 22.41 cr nett on Sunday. Totals 94.13 cr. (134.47 cr gross) in India over 4 days”.
Two movies of different type and for different audience clashed at the box office on October 2nd. Unarguably, it was the great clash of 2014 at the box office. As expected before, the Hrithik – Katrina starrer took to a roaring opening.
Bang Bang was released in about 3350 screens across India and the movie did not get some main screens in Mumbai and Delhi as it lost for ”Haider”. In spite of missing out major screens, the film has taken an earth shattering start all over.
The occupancy percentage ranged from 90-95 overall and it was really wonderful in Delhi/NCR, Mysore and Rajasthan. The theatres ran to packed halls from evening show and as expected by trade analysts, it showed tremendous performance in urban and metro centres. On the opening day, the movie collected 27.54 cr nett.
On the second day, Bang Bang collected 24.08 cr nett which was about 15% drop. As the film opened with big figures, a minor drop on the second day was inevitable. On Saturday, the collection still dropped to 20.10 cr nett which was 20% drop from the previous day.
On Sunday, Bang Bang collection went up a bit. It was close to 22.41 cr nett. The movie has minted 93.22 cr nett all over India in just four days which is a good result in spite of competition. The film has lost at least 9-10 cr nett due to competition in four days and now film needs a big day on Monday to make it cross the prestigious 100 crore mark.
