Bang Bang to open in over 4,500 screens on October 2

Mumbai, Sep 30 (): Hrithik Roshan-Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Bang Bang’ is all set to open in more than 4500 screens across 50 countries on October 2, Thursday, thereby making the movie the widest release ever for a Bollywood film.

The action thriller has been produced by Fox Star Studios and directed by Siddharth Anand. Vijay Singh, Fox Star Studios’ CEO said in a statement that Bang Bang will release on October 2, Thursday, widely in a grand manner and it would be the biggest release ever for a Bollywood movie across the globe. He confirmed the news that the film releases in more than 4,500 screens in 50 countries, with a record-breaking number of screens in UK, the Middle East and the US.

With the teasers and songs showing sizzling chemistry between the lead actors having created a lot of buzz among the masses, the film is expected to open big.

COO of PVR Cinemas, Gautam Dutta, said in a statement that Bang Bang was going to be huge. He said there were incredible expectations revolving around the film and advance bookings are really good across all the PVR screens. Touted to be the hottest movie of 2014, traders are expecting to see a massive opening day response and the extended five-day weekend should result in record-breaking numbers, he added.

The advance ticket booking of “Bang Bang” opened on Sunday at the domestic box office and within 24 hours of its opening, the movie has received a massive response. As the promotional strategies of the film has created enough hype the advance booking started with a bang in India. The regions where the movie has made storm at the advance booking ticket counters include National Capital Region (NCR), Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad among others.
