Mumbai, Sep 13 (): Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan has uttered his willingness to act in a Tamil film as he has an ‘old connection’ with Chennai.
Abhishek Bachchan is the team owner of Chennai Titans (CT) in the Hero-Indian Super League. The actor is in Chennai, as the stylish football event opens. The 38-year-old actor visited the stadium today and assessed the services offered to the players and the pitch. He was happy with the work done in the stadium.
Abhishek said that for the first time he was seeing the stadium. The technical look had been done already, but, he wanted to look after the stands and the pitch.
The actor was quite impressed on the way the work was accomplished. He said it needed not as much work as to be done like what he had thought there might be. Abhishek also complimented the stadium saying of all the stadiums that he had been to, this was one of better-equipped stadiums and the most prepared in the ISL.
The Chennai Titans are about to play their first match on October 19.
In addition, Abhishek attended the launch of the Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon watch. At the event, he said to the reporters that he had loved to do a Tamil film. He also praised the ideas of the Tamil movies and had said that he has been a big lover of Tamil films.
Previously, Abhishek has worked with Tamil film industry’s renowned filmmaker Mani Ratnam in the film like Guru, Yuva and Raavan. He said he had many friends in south Indian industry and he had also shot for a few movies in Chennai. He mentioned his favorite actors in Tamil as Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan and said he has also loved the performance made by Vikram.
During childhood, he said, their family used to visit Chennai, whenever Amitabh had shooting in Chennai and they had spent many summers in the city. That was the old bond, Abhishek mentioned, he had with Chennai.
