Chennai, Aug 23 (): Actor Kamal Haasan has confirmed that his comedy film “Uttama Villain” will release in theatres ahead of his spy thriller, “Vishwaroopam 2.”
When Kamal was asked about the release of Vishwaroopam sequel, the actor said that Uttama Villain would release before Vishwaroopam II. He added that the post production works of Vishwaroopam II is in progress as it has a lot of computer graphics jobs that have to be accomplished perfectly. So, Uttama Villain will release first, he said.
Uttama Villain is said to be comedy film whereas Vishwaroopam deals with global terrorism. However, Kamal has reiterated that Uttama Villain does not come under the category of comedy. He said the film has some very comical moments and scenes, but it is not a complete comedy.
Uttama Villain deals with the story of an ageing popular actor, played by Kamal Haasan. The actor has penned the film’s story. The film also stars Jayaram, Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah and Kamal Haasan’s guru K. Balachander in important roles.
On the other hand, Kamal has finished all the shooting schedules of Vishwaroopam 2. Its prequel “Vishwaroopam” released in 2013 concentrated more on action while the sequel will focus on emotional and romantic aspects, reports say. Kamal has assured that the sequel will not get any protests.
The star cast of Vishwaroopam 2 includes actors from first part that includes Kamal Haasan, Rahul Bose, Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah and Shekar Kapur. Veteran Bollywood actress Waheeda Rahman and Anant Mahadevan are the new additions to the sequel.
Vishwaroopam 2 has been directed by Kamal Haasan, while its music is composed by Ghibran. The big budget action movie is produced by Aascar Ravichandran.
After wrapping the shootings of both Uttama Villain and Vishwaroopam 2, Haasan is currently busy shooting for Tamil thriller Papanasam, a remake of Malayalam blockbuster Drishyam.
