Mumbai, Aug 22 (): The trailer of Shah Rukh Khan’s Happy New Year (HNY) was launched in a grand manner in Mumbai on the eve of the Independence Day. The makers of the movie used many newer platforms on digital media to reach out to a larger audience base and their efforts have created history by reaching out to a number of viewers spread across the globe.
While most of the movies go for the Youtube platform, the trailer of HNY was launched first on the native video player of Facebook using an application. The trailer was launched not only on HNY’s Facebook page but also on the timelines of all the users who subscribed to the app.
The production unit of Happy New Year, SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt Ltd has used all possible Digital Platforms – Social Media, Mobile (VAS), DTH & Application Economy to ensure a good reach with a large user base. Further, the trailer was also launched on conventional platform YouTube and on all networks of the partners of the film (Film Distributors Yash Raj Films and Music Distributors T-Series) along with the official channel of Red Chillies.
Also, the trailer was launched on Twitter’s native video player with messages from HNY’s cast. The message said, “Red Chillies and the cast of Happy New Year understand the value of developing live, personal and interactive connections with their audience, which is only possible on Twitter”.
The total views of the trailer from all platforms crossed a record-breaking number of 4 million in 24 hours.
Venky Mysore, RCE’s CEO said that keeping in mind the tradition of novelty established by Red Chillies, they were thrilled to launch HNY’s trailer for the very first time in multiple platforms. He said this method has also been used to meet the fans’ demands who are consuming talent in ways that suit them.
RCE has launched the trailer using an extraordinary footprint and has delighted the fans, he added.
