Chennai, Aug 16 (): Hansika wept on the sets of Arya-starrer Megamann (Captain of the Ship), revealed the director while speaking to media at the audio launch.
Hansika who completed a few intimate scenes with Arya sat in one corner and cried. Hansika told the director Magizh Thirumeni that she has never done such intimate scenes in any film and wondered if it was a mistake.
Hansika said that she had a baby doll image and such scenes might go against it. Hansika told the director that the public might reject her and her career will come to an end. Being a professional, Hansika did not want to create a fuss.
The director did not have Hansika in mind while writing the screenplay. His first choice was Sruthi Haasan and later it was Tapsee who acted with Arya in Arrambam. The final choice was Hansika as the project got delayed due to Arya’s unavailability. The film has seven villains and three of them are from Bollywood. Ashish Vidyarthi, Shudhanshu Pandey and Asthuthosh Rana are the three men from Bollywood. The film was first titled Vaadi Vasal.
Hansika featured in a tango dance sequence with Arya which was choreographed by Viji, former associate of Raju Sundaram. The film was shot in Goa, Chennai and Gujarat. Arya plays a middle class boy and has a body language different from that of his earlier films.
Music director SS Thaman has composed three songs and a theme song. Arya plays an undercover cop who is on a mission to battle underworld drug cartel. Thirumeni has worked with top-notch directors including Gautam Vasedev Menon.
The storyline of Meaghamann is built around the lives of middle class society and would provide Arya a new angle to his acting style.
