Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry are the subjects considered to calculate cut-off marks for TNEA 2014 admission.
To calculate cut-off marks of TNEA 2014, candidates may follow the below method. Based on total marks of 200, TNEA rank list will be prepared.
1. Marks scored by candidates in Mathematics should be divided by 2.
For Eg: If a candidate gets 195 marks in Mathematics then it should be divided by 2 (195/2) which will give a cut off of 97.5 for the subject.
2. Similarly marks scored by candidates in Physics and Chemistry should be divided by 4.
For eg, if a candidate gets 195 in Physics and 190 in Chemistry, then both Physics and Chemistry marks should be divided by four such as 195/4 and 190/4 which will give a cut off of 48.75 in Physics and 47.5 in Chemistry respectively.
3. Finally calculated cut off marks from all the three subjects should be added to get the final cut off marks which would give 193.75 (97.5 +48.75+47.5 =193.75)
