Mumbai, June 12 (): Music maestro Oscar-award winner AR Rahman, who has scored music for the Bollywood film, Lekar Hum Deewana Dil, will perform a live concert at a five-star hotel in suburban Mumbai today evening for the movie’s music launch.
Currently, AR Rahman is in the US city, Los Angeles taking part in an international project. He will fly down to Mumbai for the event.
Excited about the live concert AR Rahman took to his microblogging site Twitter to share his feelings. He thad tweeted: “Excited to perform 5 songs from Lekar Hum Deewana Dil tonight with a completely new band!”
The music album of Lekar Hum Deewana Dil is hyped to have numbers dealing with passion, heartbreak, love and emotions of thrill. After a long gap, the ace music composer has also made a harmonious party track ‘Khalifa’ that would be one of the highlights of the concert.
Reports say, Kapoor sisters Kareena and Karisma have planned to attend the gala live event in spite of their busy schedules and they are also very excited about the first performance of their cousin Armaan Jain. Armaan is the younger grandson of Bollywood legendary actor Raj Kapoor (son of Raj Kapoor’s daughter Reema Jain) and Lekar Hum Deewana Dil marks his debut in cinema.
In the sets of Lekar Hum Deewana Dil, the newest performer of Raj Kapoor family, Armaan Jain has got support from Armaan’s uncles – Reema Jain’s elder brother Randhir and younger brother Rajeev and his aunt-by-marriage Neetu Singh, who is married to Rishi Kapoor and is known to be close to Mrs Jain.
Lekar Hum Deewana Dil is produced by Kareena Kapoor Khan’s husband and actor Saif Ali Khan. It is directed by Arif Ali, brother of Imtiaz Ali. Starring new comers Armaan Jain and Deekhsha Seth, the movie is scheduled to release on July 4.
