Mumbai, June 7 (): Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty at the famous Shani Shinganapur shrine at Sonai village in Ahmednagar district has promised to donate her eyes after her demise. She filled a form given by Yashwant Samajik Pratisthan, a social organization that confirmed her assurance to donate eyes after her death.
The 38-year-old actress said at an event at Shiridi that donating her eyes gives her satisfaction that her eyes could give vision to some other person.
Earlier Shamita Shetty, sister of Shilpa Shetty had also promised to offer her eyes through the same group. It is certainly a great deed of generosity and kindness on the part of two sisters, Shilpa and Samita.
After her team Rajasthan Royals was defeated in the 2014 IPL tournament, Shilpa visited Shirdi Sai Baba shrine along with Raj Kundra, her husband and her father Surendhra Shetty. In her speech at the event, she commented on the victory of Narenda Modi in the recent elections and expected that women’s safety should be the most important issue among the other priority plans of government. Shilpa Shetty had previously expressed her immense respect for the new PM and had said that he would turn into India’s fantastic leader.
Shilpa said she was deeply saddened on the defeat of her team Rajasthan Royals and trying to forget it. RR finished the 2014 IPL tournament at the 5th position. She said she was sure the team would learn a lesson from the defeat.
At present, Shilpa is actively engaged with her new gold business, Satyug Gold, the company that showcases jewellery designed by herself.
Shilpa has also recently turned into producer for the movie Dishkiyaoon. But, the movie starring Sunny Deol, Ayesha Khanna, Harman Baweja, among others did not receive good response at the box office.
