Chennai, Apr 4 (): Arvind Swamy has clearly stated he is not playing the villain role in the upcoming Ajith Kumar’s film directed by Gautham Menon. Further, he has also stated he is not roped in to play a villain role in any of the films.
Arvind Swamy took to his social networking site Twitter to rubbish the rumour revolving in the industry. He tweeted, “A lot of nonsense being written, I am not playing the villain in any movie, so unless I put it up on twitter, don’t believe these rumours”.
Gautham Menon was searching for a popular senior Tamil actor to play the villain role in his stylish entertainer starring Ajith. His upcoming movie is not yet titled, it is called ‘Thala 55′ for now, by media and fans.
This Ajith’s film has created a lot of hype among the audience and has become one of the most-awaited films of 2014. Lot of news has been circulating in the media from the day the movie was announced. One among such rumour is about the villain of the film.
It was said Arvind Swamy and Arun Vijay, son of old-time actor Vijayakumar are roped in to play the villain roles in “Thala 55″.
Arun Vijay has done many films as the lead actor and is at present working on a project titled “Vaa Deal.” Arvind Swamy made his comeback to films with Maniratnam’s “Kadal.”
The makers of the film has not revealed anything about the matter, this clearly states that the villain role is not yet finalised.
Rumours say Ajith plays an investigative officer in Gautham Menon’s movie and Anushka Shetty plays the female lead role opposite Ajith, whereas “Madarasapattinam” fame lady Amy Jackson is doing a pivotal role.
Harris Jayaraj was approached to compose music for the mega-budget project. The movie was supposed to take off in February, but it has been postponed.
