Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to make a comeback in Mani Ratnam’s film

Mumbai, Apr 4 (): Speculation about the comeback movie of former beauty queen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been put to rest finally. It is confirmed the actress is making her comeback with ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam.

The announcement has been made by Mani Ratnam’s wife Suhasini. In an interview given by her to a leading Tamil channel, she has revealed the star cast of Mani Ratnam’s next project.

The information given by Suhasini reveals that the next film of Mani Ratnam is a spy thriller like Hollywood’s ‘Bourne’ and ‘Mission Impossible’ series. Plans are going on to start the shooting of the movie in June and it will be shot in Tamil as well as Telugu.

Besides Aishwarya Rai, the star cast include Telugu superstars Nagarjuna and Mahesh Babu. The second female lead role will be played by Shruti Hassan. Steps are in progress to rope in a Pakistani actress or an Iranian actor to do an important role in the film.

As usual the music will be scored by Oscar award-winning music composer Isaipuyal AR Rahman while camera will be handled by Ravi Varman, who join hands with the filmmaker for the first time in this film.

The comeback film of Aishwarya has created a lot of interesting developments. First of all, Aishwarya has chosen her debut filmmaker for her comeback movie after her long pregnancy break. She made her entry into film career with Mani Ratnam’s ‘Iruvar’. Both of them have also worked together in films such as Guru (2007) and Raavan (2010). In both the films she has shared screen space with her husband Abhishek Bachchan. Then, instead of choosing a mainstream Bollywood film, the actor has selected a Tamil-Telugu film.

The actress has been on a break since the birth of her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan in 2011. Even though she made many public appearances, she maintained distance from films.
