Chennai, Feb 10 (): Kollywood today is buzzing hot with news about proposed project of Ajith with high-profile and celebrated director Shankar and Kamal Hassan’s upcoming project – Drishyam remake.
Ajith suggested by Rajinikanth for Shankar’s project?
Ajith who is set to work with Gautham Vasudev Menon next is expected to team up with celebrated director Shankar who is known for his expensive and high-profile film projects, if reports are to be believed. This Ajith-Shankar film is expected to be shot from December 2014 and formal announcement is expected to come in April.
Sources say that Shankar had initially thought of Superstar Rajinikanth for his movie and approached him for the same. Though the script made a nice impression on Rajinikanth, he was not ready to take it up and suggested Ajith instead.
To jog one’s memory about how Ajith holds Rajinikanth in high esteem, Ajith has said in the past that Rajinikanth is next to his parents and that he has never seen God but feels blessed when he sees Rajinikanth in person. Superstar is also said to have a good impression about Ajith.
Shankar is meantime working on ‘Ai’ starring Vikram and Amy Jackson in the leads.
Kamal Hassan to star in Drishyam Tamil remake
Ulaganayagan Kamal Hassan has been roped in to star in the Tamil version of Drishyam, the Malayalam version of which was declared one of the biggest grossers in Mollywood. The original Malayalam version of Drishyam directed by Jeethu Joseph starred Mollywood Superstar Mohanlal and Meena in the leads. However, the Tamil remake will not have Meena as the heroine opposite Kamal Hassan who is reportedly not to have favoured her starring opposite him.
