Mission Sapne to be launched by Colors

Mumbai, Feb 8 (): Colors is set to launch a new show called Mission Sapne, which would showcase celebrities using their popularity for the benefit of the common man. Mission Sapne is set to hit the TV screens in Summer 2014. Sonali Bendre has been roped in to be the host of the show.

The format of the show is that the celebrities will take on the small jobs for a day. The money earned by them is then multiplied and donated back to a person in need.

Top celebrities from Bollywood, television, music and sports will be undertaking this Mission including Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Varun Dhawan, cricketer Harbhajan Singh, and singer Mika Singh among others.

Salman turned to be a barber. He supported a handicapped barber, Qurban Ali. Souces say for his episode, Salman took on the role of a barber. He extended his support to a barber who lost both his legs. Even though he is handicapped, he struggles to return to his normal life and provide for his family.

Actor Ram Kapoor took on the role of a taxi driver to raise funds for Kiran Sharma, wife of a taxi driver from Chandigarh. In an accident, Kiran lost her husband, leaving her and their six-year-old daughter in a tight financial situation. In an effort to support Kiran, Ram will use his wit, charm and star power to collect money, which will then be multiplied and donated to the Sharma family.

Ranbir Kapoor sold vada pav outside a city college. The money collected will go for the treatment of 10-year-old Sunita Ingle who is fighting blood cancer. Her father is a truck driver, who has managed to collect 1 lakh rupees for her treatment but doctors at Wadia hospital has told him the entire treatment will cost 4 lakh rupees.

Varun Dhawan became a coolie for a day, and Ronit Roy turned into a cosmetics seller.
