Moto G now available in India

New Delhi, Feb 6 (): Motorola announced the much-awaited Moto G is priced at Rs 12,499 for 8 GB version and Rs 13,999 for the 16 GB variant in India. Moto G is now available for pre-booking e-commerce portals Snapdeal and Flipkart in India. It will be available to consumers in India exclusively through Flipkart from 6th February, 2014.

In May 2012 Motorola was acquired by Google and also stopped introducing new products in India. Earlier Moto G was expected to be launched in the last week of January. Motorola launched the Moto G in November 2013.

 Moto G features a 4.5-inch 720p HD display and has a 1280 x 720 pixels resolution display with 329 ppi and a water-repellent nano-coating. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 graphics with 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU. It is powered with 1 GB of RAM and has a dual SIM option. The handset comes loaded with Android 4.3 Jellybean with a guaranteed upgrade to 4.4 KitKat in near future.

The Moto G has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera supports HD (720p) video recording. It comes in two variants – 8GB and 16GB, none of which support a microSD card to expand the memory.  The phone also comes with 50GB of free Google Drive storage like in other markets. Motorola Moto G measures 11.6 mm thick and weighs 143 grams.  It packs with a 2070 mAh battery and offers connectivity options including 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
