Dubai, Feb 5 (): Based on the performances of the players, International Cricket Council which is headquartered in Dubai (UAE) prepares rankings of teams and players match by match.
In the recently released ranking on the basis of the batting performances of the cricket players, India’s middle order mainstay Virat Kohli slipped a place in ICC T20 rankings, but is still the best-placed Indian batsman at fourth in the latest ICC T20 rankings.
New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum holds the first place with 797 points. Next comes the smashing English hitter Alex Hales with 795 rating points. Australian opener Aaron Finch has moved to the third spot, after showing an amazing performance in Sydney against England with the bat. Finch moved five places up to attain his careers best ranking with 772 points.
Virat Kohli, Indian vice-captain, has taken the fourth spot with 749 rating points. Suresh Raina having 712 points is at the fifth place. Yuvraj took sixth position with 705 points though he is not part of the team touring New Zealand. Both Suresh Raina and Yuraj have gained a position to move up the list.
New Zealand opener Martin Guptill is at number seven with 694 points. With this point, Guptill has attained his career best rank. Tilakratne Dilshan, the Sri Lankan batsman, is with 690 points and at 8th place while another Sri Lankan player Mahela Jayawardene with 687 points is ranked 9th. Australian all-rounder Shane Watson with 686 rating points grabbed the 10th spot.
No Indian bowler made it to the top-10 of bowlers’ list, though Yuvraj recollected his third place in the all-rounders’ chart.
