Celebrities attend Filmfare Awards Nominations Party

Mumbai, Jan 19 (): The Filmfare awards association announced the lists of nominees in 10 different categories last Wednesday. The awards nominations party was held at Hotel Hyatt Regency in Mumbai.

The bog bash was attended by many Bollywood biggies like Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Sonam Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Shraddha Kapoor, Konkona Sen Sharma, Dhanush, Ranveer Singh, Farhan Akhtar, Tamannaah Bhatia, Karan Johar, Sonali Bendre and Imtiaz Ali among others.

Deepika chose to wear a printed Pankaj and Nidhi dress with a sensuous back slit, it looked like what she wore at the Stardust Magazine launch. Alia walked in a red strapless Alexander McQueen Gown and looked stunning.

Sonam Kapoor looked elegant in Royal Blue Gown designed by an Anushka Khanna. Kalki Koechlin was in a Gaurav Gupta collection with a striking look. Huma Qureshi wore a fusion saree of Shivan And Naresh and Divya Dutta looked perfect in a nine yard.

Shruti Haasan looked stunning in a Namrata Joshipura while Taapsee Phannu was in a Rajat Tangri. Sophie Choudry donned a Shantanu And Nikhil and the Diva Madhuri Dixit wore a baby pink Manish Malhotra sari.

Coming to the actors, Arjun Kapoor was dressed in a simple suit, Imtiaz Ali was in his usual casual wear. Dhanush looked charming, but the evening belonged to Ranveer Singh who looked like a clown in a Versace Double-Breasted Windowpane Bizarre Patterned Grey Suit teamed up with Harry Potter Glasses.

The 59th Filmfare Awards event will take place in Mumbai at the Yash Raj Studios on Friday, January 24 and will be hosted by Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor.

Priyanka said during a Filmfare press conference there is huge pressure because Filmfare as an event has always been funny and entertaining. There has been standards set by other hosts including Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor and so she said it was scary and exciting for her.

The Sony Entertainment Television (SET) broadcast is set for the evening of January 26.
