Uttarakhand, Jan 3 (): Uttarakhand Vidhaleye Siksha Parishad (UBSE) which conducted the Uttarkhand Teacher Eligibility Test in the month of November 2013 is set to announce the UTET results soon.

Teacher Eligibility Test known as TET is an entrance examination conducted to recruit teachers for government schools across the country. The test being mandatory is conducted by both Central government and State governments in India.
TET is based on National Curriculum Framework and is conducted twice a year in the form of Level I and Level II. While Level I contains 150 questions and is divided into five parts such as – I, II, III, IV, V, Level II is divided into 4 parts out of which I, II, III are mandatory. Teacher Eligibility Test was introduced by the government of India with an intention to enhance the standard and quality of teaching.
Candidates opting for Class I to Class V need to appear for Paper -I, while candidates opting for Class VI – VIII need to appear for Paper II. Candidates intending for recruitment to Classes I – VIII will have to appear for both Paper I and Paper II. In accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE, a person is eligible to be appointed for teacher post only after he/she qualifies the Teacher Eligibility Test.
