Chennai, Dec 31 (): Veeram is all set to hit the theatres during Pongal 2014. The much-expected movie starring Ajith has obtained a ‘U’ certificate from the censor board, much to the relief of the makers.
Sources close to the unit say that Ajith himself had watched the first cut of Veeram, that was screened for the censors before he flew to Australia for the New Year holiday along with his family. Veeram being a complete family entertainer, Ajith has said he felt positive about the success of the film. Ajith had also praised director Siruthai Siva for the nice works and the crisp editing that has gone into it.
The story of Veeram revolves around five brothers in a rural setting, based in Oddanchathiram.
Vidharth, Bala, Munish and Suhail Chandhok who play brothers of Ajith in Veeram have shared their experiences working with Ajith. Vidharth has said he is a huge fan of Ajith and that he admired Thala even more after working with him.
Suhail Chandhok , a Formula 1 driver is the brother of ace racing champ Karun Chandok. Both Ajith and Suhail also had a bike ride together in the recent past.
Bala is Sirthai Siva’s brother. He had acted in a Malayalam film, the stills of which were shown to Ajith.Only after Ajith liked them and given the go-ahead, Siva told Ajith that Bala is his brother.
Meantime, Ajith who is holidaying in Australia currently with his close family members will fly back to India on January 9, just a day before Veeram hits the theatres.
