Mumbai, Dec 22 (): Dhoom3 is doing splendid business at the box office. The opening day was rocking and the movie collected Rs 36+ crore in all languages (Hindi, Tamil and Telugu).
On the second day, the movie still roared at the box office, collecting a splendid Rs 33+ crore. Totalling the 2-day collections of Dhoom 3 comes to around 69+ crore, which is really marvellous. The collections for the film’s dubbed versions are also doing tremendously well.
Trade analyst and film critic Tarn Adarsh tweeted, “#Dhoom 3- All Languages Friday Hindi Rs 33.42 Cr Tamil & Telugu Rs 2.80 Cr Total Rs 36.22 Cr”
“Dhoom 3- All Languages Saturday Hindi Rs 31.25 Cr Tamil & Telugu Rs 2.11 Cr Total Rs 33.36 Cr”
If the film manages to keep the same range of occupancy even today, it would beat the record collections of Chennai Express. Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express is the fastest movie to enter the elite 100 crore club.
Chennai Express entered the prestigious 100 crore mark in just 3 days which included the film’s paid preview amount as well. But Dhoom 3 did not have any paid preview, so, it looks Dhoom3 might beat the CE record in lesser time. However, the Sunday collections of the film will only confirm whether Dhoom3 can attain the same success or not.
Experts say the early trends on Sunday, suggest the film is running to full houses across the country and multiplexes have nearly 14-15 shows. They say Dhoom3 will easily collect 37-38 cr nett including all languages on Sunday, which means the opening weekend will fall around 105 cr nett all India and 95-96 cr nett only in Hindi.
Taran tweeted, “Sunday should be massive for #Dhoom3, with opening weekend closing at record levels. Also, Christmas holidays will make Week 1 ROCK-SOLID. Ready for a Rs 100 cr nett weekend? #Dhoom3”.
If this happens, it would be a serious business at box office, records will be broken and tough ones will be set.
