Hyderabad, Dec 14 (): Andhra Pradesh Government which postponed the Fourth AP Teachers Eligibility Test 2013 examination has notified to conduct the APTET 2013 exam soon.
The APTET scheduled to be held in the month of September 2013 was postponed by Andhra Pradesh Government owing to instability in the state for the past few months.
Andhra Pradesh Department of secondary education will announce the next date for the Fourth APTET 2013 exam through press release. Candidates who applied for the fourth APTET may download the APTET admit card 2013 one week before the next exam date for APTET 2013 is announced by Andhra Pradesh Department of secondary education.
Pattern for APTET 2013
There will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with each question carrying one mark.
Candidates will have to select one correct answer out of four alternatives.
No negative mark will be given for wrong answer.
APTET-September 2013 will contain two papers.
Candidates aiming to be selected as teacher for class I to V, will be appearing for Paper –I
Candidates aiming for classes VI to VIII, will be appearing for Paper –II
Candidates intending to be selected for Class I to Class VIII will have to appear for both paper I and paper II.
Candidates appearing for the APTET exam will be provided a duration of 2½ hours time.

- Child Development and Pedagogy
- Language I
- Language II (English)
- Environmental Studies
Child Development and Pedagogy (Paper I) – will be based on D.Ed curriculum highlighting Educational Psychology of Teaching and Learning. It also highlights the individuality, requirements and psychology of diverse learners, interaction with learners besides pointing the qualities of a good facilitator of learning.
Out of the below given nine languages, candidates will have to choose any one language under APTET:
Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya and Tamil
Category wise Passing mark for Fourth APTET
OC-60% Marks and above
BC-50% Marks and above
SC-40% Marks and above
ST-40% Marks and above
Physically Handicapped with40% handicap will be considered as Visually Handicapped and Orthopedically Handicapped.
Hearing Impaired will be recognized as 75% handicap and will be considered under PH category.
