Chennai, Dec 13 (): The lead star of upcoming Tamil movie Veeram, Ajith and the film’s director Siva have tonsured their heads at the famous Tirumala temple in Tirupati.
‘Veeram’ is all set to hit the screens for 2014 Pongal and latest news is that the star and the director have offered their hair, praying for the success of their movie.
Previously, Kollywood big stars have tonsured their heads only to match their characters in the film. But, Ajith’s way is different, it is said that Ajith and the director tonsured their head as a sign of thanksgiving to the Lord, for the successful completion of Veeram. Ajith has offered his hairs to offer his prayers to the Almighty.
Previously, actor Vikram had shaven of his hair for director Shankar’s ‘Ai’ and so did Bharath for ’555′. Superstar Rajinikanth had also shaven his hair for ‘Sivaji’. So, Ajith’s act is a bit new in the film industry.
Meanwhile, Veeram shooting is all done and the post production works for the movie is going on. Director Siva said the intro song of Ajith in ‘Veeram’ is going to be unique, as it will be a mix of dance moves and stunt sequences.
Sources said it was a different idea perceived by director Siva, who wanted the song to be a grand treat for Ajith fans. Giving more details, they added that choreographer Prem Rakshit and stunt master Selvam have worked hard for the song with inputs from Siva.
Music for the song is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, while Vinayakam (Ajith) and his brothers (Vitharth, Bala, Munish and Suhail Chandhok) will be seen dancing and fighting in the song, sources said.
Siva said this is probably the first time that both a dance master and a stunt master are working on a song. The intro song will introduce the characters they play to the audience. Further, he added this song would not be like the background songs that play during action sequences in other films.
