Dec 12 (): Sreesanth, former India pace bowler, mired in betting controversies and banned for life from all forms of cricket in September 2013 now enters another phase of his life – wedlock with girlfriend-princess from the Jaipur royal family Bhuveneshwari Kumari aka Nayan.
Sreesanth-Nayan wedding took place this morning at the famed Guruvayoor Sree Krishna temple in Kerala. The couple had their Sangeet ceremony in a private hotel on Wednesday where Sreesanth was seen attired in a off-white sherwani teamed with a silver work dupatta while his bride Nyan was dressed like a true Rajasthani bride in a yellow lehenga.
Nayan is a jewellery designer by profession. Reports say that Sreesanth fell head over heels in love when Nayan went to take his autograph in an ODI match against Pakistan in Jaipur.
Sreesanth and Nayan have been in a relationship for some good years and she is said to have stood by his side when Sreesanth was going through a rough patch in his professional life.
The wedded couple is expected to head to the ancestral home of Sreesanth in Kothamangalam in Ernakulam district and the reception would take place at Le Meridian hotel in Kochi.
30-year-old Sreesanth is the first Kerala Ranji player to have taken part in Twenty20 cricket for India.
