India vs South Africa 1st ODI : India lose by 141 runs with 9 overs still to play

Johannesburg, Dec 6 (): Hosts South Africa showed an all-round performance as they crushed India by 141 runs in the first one day international taking a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

Highlights:

A quick-fire century from Quinton de Kock helped South Africa to a massive 141-run victory over India in the first one-day international played at The Wanderers. De Kock did his career-best of 135 from 121 balls that included 18 fours and three sixes.

Asked to bat, the South African batsmen made full use of the Indian attack, posting a huge 358 for 4 in 50 overs.

Entering the field with the target of 359 runs, Indians found it difficult to face the South African pace attack bowling out the visitors for 217 in 41 overs. It was thorough professional performance by South Africa as Indians were outplayed in all departments.

India captain MS Dhoni provided some fine innings of 65 from 71 balls, but the wickets continued to tumble around him and he was bowled by Steyn to leave India nine down.
