Mumbai, Nov 28 (): The trailer of Jackpot is out. It shows some steamy and objectionable scenes between the lead stars Sunny Leone and Sachiin Joshi and the makers of the movie feel it will definitely raise a lot of controversies and objections from the censor board.
Jackpot is a comedy thriller, set in the world of casino boats and gambling in Goa. produced by Viiking Entertainment and Media and directed by Kaizad Gustad, the movie stars Naseeruddin Shah, Sachiin J Joshi and Sunny Leone in lead roles.
The trailers show there will be plenty of steamy scenes between Sachiin Joshi and Sunny Leone in Jackpot and the next worry for the makers is, will these lovemaking scenes get the film an ‘A’ certificate?
Jackpot had already been caught in a major controversy when the lyrics of Javed Jafferi’s rap song Eggjactly were said to be based on anti-corruption and had quite a lot of bold and objectionable lyrics that were not approved by the Censor Board.
The bold lines touched upon everything from the Commonwealth scam to the Bofors and Lokpal issues, and incidents in Bhagalpur, Bhopal, Godhra, Ayodhya and Mumbai. After facing controversies, the song was finally dropped from the movie.
Now, steamy scenes of Sunny Leone may again get them into trouble with the censor board. Posters of Jackpot, in which Sunny Leone is seen topless, have already created a hype and co-star Sachiin Joshi feels the film would not get U/A certificate which would mean that they would lose half of their audience.
Sunny in response feels that Jackpot is a family movie and it does not require censorship.
Director Gustad, credited for movies like Bombay Boys and Boom, is back to film making after a decade. He said he was “grateful” to Naseeruddin Shah for agreeing to be a part of the project, and he was also happy that “Sachiin and Sunny have done a wonderful job in the film”.
The film has already gone to the Censor Board and the results are awaited.
Jackpot releases on December 13.
