Mumbai, Nov 9 (): Hirthik Roshan’s superhero film “Krrish 3″ has crossed the Rs 200-crore mark at the worldwide box office in just one week of its release. The film is doing tremendously well at the box office with some real solid consistency.
Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted, “@Krrish3 collects 13.44 Cr on day 7. Domestic Total 166.52 cr. Overseas 36 cr. Worldwide 202.42 cr”.
Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Krrish 3′ is doing excellently well in the domestic as well as in the overseas circuits, just as how Shahrukh Khan’s Chennai Express did in August.
The science fiction film was released on Friday (November 1) in 4000 screens across India. Trade experts predicted that the highly anticipated movie would break the opening day collection record of Chennai Express, which had collected Rs 33.12 crores from 3,500 screens in the domestic market.
The Hrithik Roshan starrer failed to meet the expectations on its opening day. The movie collected 25.5 crore on the opening day.
Shahrukh Khan’s Chennai Express collected Rs 156.7 crores nett at the domestic box office and it became the highest grosser in the first week. Now, Krrish 3 has smashed the records of Chennai Express and has set a new benchmark in the domestic market.
By collecting 13.44 crore on the seventh day, the total domestic collection of the film has soared high to 166.52 crore. The movie did the highest single day collection on Monday and its business on other weekdays were also record-smashing.
Meantime, Krrish 3 has crossed 200 crore mark in the worldwide collection chart. The movie was released in more than 550 screens in over 40 countries, including non-traditional markets like Singapore, Netherlands, Mauritius, South Africa and Belgium.
The collections of “Krrish 3″ are remarkable and it is breaking records at several regions abroad. The opening weekend overseas figure is the highest ever recorded for a Hrithik Roshan starrer. Also, it is the second highest grosser after “Chennai Express”.
