Box office collection : Attarintiki Daredi beats Magadheera collections

Oct 25 (): According to latest reports, Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Attarintiki Daredi’ has crossed the all-time best grosser ‘Magadheera’ and taken its place.

Attarintiki Daredi collections are stunning in Andhra Pradesh. In the state alone, the film has collected a whopping Rs 56 crores. Considering the collections from the rest of India and abroad, Pawan Kalyan starrer has crossed Rs 73.28 crores.

After facing several postponements in its release, Attarintiki Daredi released in theatres on September 27. Now, the movie is running in its fourth week of release, but still the movie keeps the bells ringing at the box office.

Though the film faced competition with Ramayya Vasthavayya and Doosukeltha, the Trivikram Srinivas directed movie has collected approximately Rs 73.28 crores nett at the worldwide Box Office in just 26 days.

Previously, Ram Charn Teja’s Magadheera was holding the first spot in the Andhra Pradesh box office, collecting Rs 61.60 crores at the the domestic circuits and Rs 11.50 crores in other parts of the world in its lifetime. The worldwide collection of Magadheera stands at Rs 73.10 crores.

Now, Pawan Kalyan’s Attarintiki Daredi has beaten the collection record of Magadheera in just 25 days, but it is yet to beat the latter’s AP record. However, Pawan Kalyan’s latest outing has smashed the global record of the Ram Charan Teja starrer.

The key factors playing an important role for the success of the movie are the ticket rate hike and the dollar hike at that time. Though piracy of the film gave a great blow, DVD also came online, and Seemandhra agitation ensured not all theatres functioned properly. Ram Charan’s top slot has been replaced by Pawan Kalyan.

The next few big Tollywood releases are Nagarjuna’s “Bhai” (25 October) followed by Venkatesh’s “Masala” (8 November) and Ram Charan’s “Yevadu” (19 December).
