Chennai, Oct 20 (): Ajith’s Arrambam releases on October 31 and is likely to clash with Karthi’s All in All Azhaguraja at box office, which releases on November 2.
Senior film journalist Shreedhar Pillai tweeted, “”#DiwaliDhamaka – It is looking more & more like #Arrambam v/s #AllinAllAzhaguraja. Diwali can easily accommodate 2 films at TN b-o”.
Arrambam and All in All Azhaguraja are the most expected movies of Deepavali 2013. Both the films have finished their censor formalities and have received ‘U’ certificate.
Arrambam is an action-packed entertainer starring Ajith, Arya, Nayanthara, Taapsee Pannu, Mahesh Manjrekar, Atul Kulkarni, Rana Daggubati and Kishore.
Directed by Vishnu Vardhan, of “Billa” fame, the film has its soundtrack composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The audio of the film was released on 20 September directly to the stores and immediately after its release, the tracks took the internet by storm. The music album also topped the list on iTunes India. A teaser of Arrambam also became popular on YouTube.
Meantime, Karthi’s “All in All Azhaguraja” (AIAAR) is a comedy flick directed by Rajesh. The film’s music is composed by Thaman of “Osthe” fame and the audio was released on 28 September.
All in All Azhaguraja features Karthi and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles, with Santhanam, Prabhu, Nassar, Saranya, V.S. Raghavan, Radhika Apte and Kota Srinivasa Rao comprising the rest of the cast. Camera is handled by Sakthi Saravanan, while Vivek Harshan has done the editing job.
The story, screenplay, dialogue and direction is done by Rajesh M, who has earlier made some of the best comedy films.
Besides these two films mentioned, Vishal’s “Pandiyanadu” is also in the Deepavali race. Shreedhar Pillai tweeted, “#DiwaliDhamaka – All three films confirm release date – #Arrambam (Oct 31), #PandiyaNadu (Nov 1) #AllinAllAzhaguraja (Nov 2)”.
We have to wait till Deepavali to see which movie tops the box office.
