India vs Australia T20I October 10 Result : India won by 6 wickets

Rajkot, Oct 11 (): In the first and the only T20I match of the series played between India and Australia at the Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) stadium in Kandheri, near Rajkot, today, India won by 6 wickets.

Highlights:

Being asked to bat first, Australia achieved a great total 201/7. Aaron Finch and debutant Nic Maddinson took a very good start before the latter perished. Watson and Bailey did not contribute much but that could not stop Finch at the other end. He got good support from Maxwell too.

India were given challenging target. They lost Rohit early, then Raina and Dhawan gave a good start in the power play until both were dismissed. But it was the Yuvraj-Dhoni partnership of 102 that took India to victory. The former was aggressive as he paced his innings superbly and scored his highest T20I score, he was well aided by his skipper who played second fiddle.

Dhoni put the finishing touches in the last over and also Yuvraj Singh shined in his comeback game, in which he has shown what he is capable off, lifting the spirits of Indian fans.
