Box office collection report : Attarintiki Daredi breaks all records

Hyderabad, Oct 1 (): Tollywood film Attarintiki Daredi has smashed several previous records set by Telugu films and has created new records. Not only in the Indian box office, the film has created history in US box office too.

Attarintiki Daredi features in “Top 15 grossers this weekend” at North American box office, an achievement which is a rarity for an Indian film. Previously, only Shah Rukh Khan starrer Chennai Express and Ranbir Kapoor starrer Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani had featured in the Top 15 list this year.

Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#AttarintikiDaredi has created History in USA, smashing all previous records and setting new ones. Features in Top 15 grossers this weekend”.

“#AttarintikiDaredi collects $ 1,522,734 [₹ 9.53 cr]. Note: Reported screens only. Incl non-Rentrack screens total: $ 1,742,734 [₹ 10.91 cr]”.

“Prior to #AttarintikiDaredi, only #ChennaiExpress and #YehJawaaniHaiDeewani had featured in Top 15 list *this year* in USA charts”.

Taran has given the collection of all the three films. “Top 3 openers in USA in 2013 [opng wknd]: #ChennaiExpress $ 2.22 million, #YJHD $ 1.56 million, #AttarintikiDaredi $ 1.52 mn/$ 1.74 million”.

Also, the Trivikram directorial collected around 3 cr for the first day and subsequently went on to become the fastest Telugu film to reach $100,000 gross (Dallas, TX). Moreover, Attarintiki Daredi now stands at No.1 position in all-time first week collections of any Telugu film in the USA market. It has surpassed Dookudu’s $1.08, Badshah’s $ 1.09 and SVSC’s $1.2 Million within just 2 days of release.

Attarintiki Daredi is self-assured to surpass the full run collections of Mahesh Babu’s SVSC film record of $ 1.6 Million within its first weekend.

Attarintiki Daredi has also surpassed all the previous box office records for a Telugu film in Tamil Nadu. The film created box office history by becoming the highest grossing Telugu film in Tamil Nadu.

In Karnataka too, Attarintiki Daredi has collected around 2.5 crores – an all-time record for a Telugu film in Sandalwood. In Andhra Pradesh, the film collected around 10.72 cr on the opening day, which is also an all-time record.
