Chennai, Sep 17 (): Southern actor Rahul Ravindran will marry singer-dubbing artist Chinmayi Sripada early next year. The parents of the couple have mutually agreed to the wedding.
This news has been confirmed by Chinmayi’s mother T. Padmhasini. She tweeted, “I am extremely happy to announce that @23_rahulr is my son-in-law to be.” Rahul posted that the wedding will happen early next year.
Chinamyi is a famous singer-cum-dubbing artiste. In 2002, she started her singing career with the song “Oru Deivam Thantha Poove” for the film “Kannathil Muthamittal”. Since then, Chinmayi has sung several hit songs in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
Her popular numbers include “Sahana” from “Shivaji”, “Vaarayo Vaarayo” from “Aadhavan”, “Kilimanjaro” from “Endhiran”, “Tere Bina” and “Mayya” from Hindi film “Guru”, “Ay Sakhi” from “Raanjhanaa” and “Titli” from “Chennai Express”.
Moreover, Chinmayi has also worked as a dubbing artiste, giving voice-over to popular actresses in their films. She is well known for lending her voice to the actress Samantha for the character named ‘Jessie’ in Gautham Menon’s directorial piece, Ye Maaya Chesave. She has also dubbed for Bhumika Chawla (“Sillinu Oru Kaadhal”), Sameera Reddy (“Vaaranam Aayiram”, “Asal” and “Vettai”) and Samantha Ruth Prabhu (“Eega”, “Naan Ee” and “Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu”). The multi-faceted artiste is also the founder and CEO of Blue Elephant, a translation services company.
Rahul Ravindran made his cinematic-debut with Tamil romantic-drama ‘Moscowin Kavery’ and has starred in films such as ‘Andala Rakshasi’ and ‘Pelli Pusthakam’. He is awaiting the release of Tamil romantic-comedy ‘Vanakkam Chennai’.
After marriage, the young couple will continue with their respective careers. Chinmayi’s mother Padmhasini said that her daughter will pursue her work from Chennai, while Rahul is planning to continue his career from Hyderabad.
The couple have not yet fixed their engagement and marriage dates, but it is sure their marriage will be a grand affair with the presence of celebrities from the Indian film industry.
